2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer LT Redesign, Models, Specs – What about the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer do you remember? Your pals presumably had a similar vehicle back in the 2000s. The Trailblazer name has returned for the 2021 model year as a subcompact crossover. To cover the gap between the Trax and Equinox in the US, Chevy decided to resurrect a name from the past and capitalize on the nostalgia of the brand. The new Buick Encore GX shares the Trailblazer’s platform with the Honda HR-V, Kia Seltos, and Mazda CX-30. The 2017 Trailblazer only offers two turbocharged three-cylinder engines, as opposed to the previous generation’s choice of an inline-six or a Corvette V8. The most powerful 1.3-liter engine, which makes 155 horsepower, may be paired with either a CVT or a nine-speed automatic transmission to deliver plenty of torque.
Redesign of the Chevrolet Trailblazer 2023
Appealing the new 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer was than we had anticipated. To those with poor eyesight, the Chevy would look a lot like a Kia Seltos or an even closer match to a Hyundai Venue. The fact that its Korean equivalents are indisputably stylish may not be a bad thing. All models come equipped with slim halogen headlights, but the Activ and RS trims provide LED alternatives as an option. Standard on the two most expensive models, LED taillights are also standard. 17-inch wheels are standard on all Trailblazers except the RS. The 18-inch aluminum wheels on the apex trim are a welcome addition. The RS has a sportier appearance, with black embroidered trim and insignia. For the Activ, however, the roof rails are standard.
There is a pleasant surprise in the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer’s interior. It’s straightforward and well-organized, and the evidence of bargain materials isn’t enough to make it a horrible place to visit. It has an advantage over the HR-V and manages to use plastics imaginatively enough to avoid the feeling that you’re sitting in your kid’s Tupperware lunchbox. The Kia Seltos is ahead of the Chevy in this category, but that’s not a problem unique to the Chevy. The interior’s balance of purpose and space through cheeky design is a winner in our book. The Trailblazer’s interior is roomy enough for a family of four to get by. a few dimensions behind the HR-V, but it has a lot of room in the front and back seats. The Seltos offers a tiny bit more headroom up front, but not by much enough to make a difference in buying choices.
The 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer lineup from Chevrolet has two engines and two transmission options. The trims have different configurations, and some features are only accessible in certain configurations. The base 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine, which generates 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, is standard in the LS and can be upgraded to the more powerful and efficient 1.3-liter engine. However, the nine-speed automatic transmission is only available as an option for the engine in AWD mode on the higher trims. Only the 1.3-liter turbo and the CVT are available as standard in the Activ and RS variants, but the nine-speed automatic transmission is mandatory if you want AWD. The 1.3-liter turbo has 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. Turbo lag is present in both engines, but the mid-range torque is sufficient to make the vehicles seem nimble. Both the 1.3-liter engine and the CVT in the Buick Encore GX worked well together throughout our testing.
